KK1: Seafarer Kayak Camp Age 7-10

Location:  Poulsbo, WA, United States
Starting From: US $215.00

To reserve your spot, click on the date you want on the calendar.

This camp is a fantastic, fun introduction to kayaking that will never be forgotten.

Every Seafarer gets fitted in equipment just their size before learning basic skills such as paddle strokes, wet exits, water safety, teamwork, local marine life, how to fit our personal flotation devices and more.

NEW: Seaferers will get a chance to try the fun new sport of standup paddleboarding! We'll also touch the wild creatures at the Poulsbo Marine Science Center.

We visit local beaches and parks, learn Leave No Trace ethics, play games to get us comfortable on the water, have a super fun party on the last day, and much, much more.

Our instructors are professionally trained and love to teach!

Additional Information

Day 1: Play games to get to know everyone, learn how to fit our equipment and paddle a kayak, take a short paddle for lunch, search for seals and other wildlife, plan tomorrow and play games.

Day 2: Learn what to do if your kayak tips over, have lunch on the beach and play log jam (the most fun paddling game ever invented!)

Day 3: Learn how to read a navigation chart and how to use a compass, paddle to Lion's Park, have lunch and play games.

Day 4: Get an introduction to standup paddleboarding, have lunch, touch and learn about creatures on a visit to the Poulsbo Marine Science Center, then plan our last day party!

Day 5: Paddle to Lion's Park for our PARTY, games and fun. If we vote for it, we'll play a final game of log jam before paddling back to say goodbyes.

More Info

"Thank you again for scheduling the Saturday outing for our group. It was wonderful, Hawk was an excellent instructor and everyone had a great time, and 4 of us would like to sign up for the SK-2 class this Thursday evening."

~Julia Atwood

"Thank you so much again for the fabulous lesson today! We all had an absolute blast. When Kendall’s mom dropped Kate off at our house this afternoon, the girls were begging us to go tomorrow. They were offering to pay for it, even! I think we’ve got some lifelong SUPers on our hands..."

~Nancy

"I actually went to the shop two weekends ago to buy the boys their wetsuits. They stocked a lot of really great equipment for my kayak building projects. It is good to know that they can order items that are not on the website as well, as I am always looking for parts that are difficult to find sometimes."

Thanks,
Karl
